The Peace Empowerment Foundation (PEF) is a legally established, non-profit, and non-governmental organization. It is committed to fostering sustainable development and improving the quality of life in Liberia.

Mission: To foster sustainable development and improve the quality of life in Liberia by protecting the environment, promoting good governance, enhancing education and healthcare, empowering communities, and advocating for gender equality and human rights.

Vision: To create a just, healthy, and prosperous society where communities thrive through sustainable practices, equitable opportunities, and robust institutions.

PEF’s Head Office is located in Monrovia, Liberia, in Sinkor at the old ITC Compound, Opposite the Fish Market. The head office is specifically in the City of Monrovia, Montserrado County, Republic of Liberia, West Africa. PEF may also establish sub-offices and branches within Liberia as programs expand and are authorized by the board of directors.

PEF engages in a wide range of activities to achieve its objectives, including:

  • Community empowerment and peacebuilding.
  • Forming and facilitating projects that develop the minds of young people.
  • Creating livelihood opportunities for orphans, the less privileged, and poor widows.
  • Enhancing Family Empowerment programs in local regions.
  • Speaking out against gender-based violence.
  • Educating people on sanitation and hygiene practices.
  • Rehabilitating water and sanitation facilities in schools.
  • Promoting good governance and democracy, including anti-corruption efforts.
  • Working to build Liberia’s educational and health sectors.
  • Supporting the agricultural sector through farming activities, such as the Farmer’s Goat Multiplication Center and Women Empowerment through Agriculture and VSLA initiative.

PEF welcomes support through various channels:

  • Monthly dues paid by board and management team members.
  • Voluntary financial and material contributions from individuals.
  • Soliciting funding from other organizations through project proposals and development of social enterprises.
